JOB TITLE: ITC Project Manager
DEPARTMENT: Psychology, International Tobacco Control Project (ITC) and Health Psychology Lab
GRADE: USG 9
DATE: August 2011
A Master's degree in psychology, epidemiology, health studies or other behavioural science programs is required , along with the ability to work as a team player in a mutually cooperative environment. Experience in the area of tobacco control is considered an asset. Previous experience with academic research is essential. Must have proven ability to assist in the planning, implementation, and management of complex, time sensitive projects. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) are required to liaise effectively with diverse research teams, international colleagues and graduate students. Experience in budget development, strategic planning, and university ethics submissions are highly desirable. Ability to train individuals in other countries may be necessary. International work experience in Africa or Asia, and second language fluency are assets. Must have demonstrated ability to work with programs such as MSWord, Excel, and Power Point. Flexible work hours will be required to accommodate deadlines and international teleconferences outside of normal work hours. Must be willing to travel within North America and internationally, as needed.
